TACOMA, Wash. — The fire department recommended residents keep their windows and doors closed after a fire broke out on the Kodiak Enterprise boat in the Tideflats Port Facility in Tacoma on Saturday. The Washington State Department of Ecology and Fireboat Zenith from South King Fire and Rescue assisted the Tacoma Fire Department in putting out the flames. The Department of Ecology first tweeted about the fire at 12:48 p.m. There was no spill, but responders put a boom around the boat as a precaution, said the Department of Ecology.
